Thea Beechey
Thea Beechey is the creative force behind Studio Beechey. With an intensive background in art and design, Thea's creative endeavours are fuelled by her love for the natural world around her, particularly in South Wales. With a strong focus on environmental sustainability and ethical practise, her inspiration is directly inspired by her close surroundings in the Gower Peninsula, and maintaining its beauty. Combining traditional techniques with a modern aesthetic, such as lino-printing, screen printing, illustration, pattern design and handcrafted bespoke seasonal items, Thea is able to create beautiful collections of work suiting to any brief set to her.

Mission
Artistic Vision and Impact
As a designer working in Wales, embracing sustainable creation is essential due to the environmental impact of production, waste, and overconsumption - which is becoming increasingly visible across the country’s landscapes and communities. From rising carbon emissions to plastic pollution along our coastlines and pressure on natural resources, design decisions directly influence ecological outcomes. By prioritising locally sourced materials, reducing waste, and adopting circular design principles, designers can help protect Wales’ rich natural heritage while supporting long-term environmental resilience and responsible economic growth.
